For the eighth consecutive year, the Official Texas State Arts & Crafts Fair, held May 23 to 25 in Kerrville, will award scholarships through its Emerging Texas Artist Program.

 

 

The annual program awards scholarships to art students seeking a career in the visual arts. In 2006, James Avery Craftsman pledged $75,000 to support the program over a five-year period. Due to James Avery Craftsman’s commitment to further education issues within its retail community, a minimum of $15,000 will be awarded this year to the selected Texas art students. If additional contributions are made, the scholarship awards could be greater.
